On this full-day tour, we'll take you from Cusco to this surreal destination where minerals have painted the mountain with stripes of red, yellow, green, and turquoise. Cusco - Rainbow Mountain - Cusco
Hotel pickup very early (3:30-4:00 AM). 3-hour drive to the town of Cusipata where you'll enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast. We continue to the trek starting point (4,600m). Approximately 2-2.5 hour hike to the Rainbow Mountain viewpoint (5,200m). Time for photos and enjoying the landscape. Descent to the starting point. Buffet lunch in Cusipata. Return to Cusco arriving approximately 6:00-7:00 PM.

FAQs
Do I need to be in good physical condition?
Moderate physical condition is required. The most important thing is to be acclimatized to altitude (we recommend 2-3 days in Cusco before the tour). The hike is demanding because of altitude, not distance.
Can I rent a horse?
Yes, horses are available at the starting point for S/. 70 that take you close to the viewpoint. The last part (200m) must be done on foot mandatorily.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The tour operates every day. If there's light rain we continue. In case of extreme weather conditions, we offer free rescheduling.
