Cusco - Humantay Lake - Cusco
Hotel pickup at 4:00-4:30 AM. 3.5-hour drive to Mollepata where we'll enjoy a delicious breakfast. Continue to Soraypampa (3,900m), trek starting point. 1.5-2 hour hike to Humantay Lake (4,200m). Free time to enjoy the landscape and take photos. 1-hour descent. Buffet lunch. Return to Cusco arriving approximately 6:00-7:00 PM.

Is it easier than Rainbow Mountain?
Yes, Humantay Lake is at 4,200m (vs 5,200m for Vinicunca), making the hike less demanding. It's an excellent option if it's your first altitude trek.
Can I swim in the lake?
Swimming is not allowed. The lake is considered sacred by local communities and the waters are also extremely cold (near 0°C).
